QuickLyft Is Built On Trust.
Safety Is Non-Negotiable.
Trust between strangers on Ghanaian roads has to be earned — never assumed. Here's exactly how verification, escrow, GPS, SOS, and ratings keep that trust intact, every trip.
No Unverified Driver
Touches This Platform.
Every QuickLyft driver completes a multi-step identity, vehicle, and conduct verification before they can accept a single booking. We verify — then we verify again.
Ghana Card ID
NIA Ghana Card biometric verification — no pseudonyms, no borrowed IDs.

Pass-or-Fail Safety.
No Negotiation.
Every QuickLyft vehicle inspects at one of our centres. Eight safety items must all pass — a single fail rejects the entire inspection and blocks the vehicle from accepting rides until re-inspection.
The 8 mandatory safety items.
All must pass before a vehicle is approved. Order below reflects scoring priority — brakes carry the most weight, DVLA roadworthiness anchors the list.
The rest is graded, not pass-or-fail.
Once the eight safety items are clear, the inspector grades the vehicle on comfort and presentation. Those scores stack with your vehicle base score to land you in one of four platform badges — what riders see when they choose your route.
- Air conditioning
- Seat condition
- Interior cleanliness

Full inspector rubric and per-dimension scoring is shared only with approved drivers and inspection agents. Not published.
Every approved vehicle wears a Platform Badge.
The inspection result lands every approved vehicle in one of four bands. Riders see the badge on every route card before they book — so quality choice happens at search, not at the kerb.
Your Money In Escrow
Until You Arrive Safe.
We never let a driver touch your fare until the trip completes as booked. MoMo escrow holds your payment — automatically releasing on arrival, automatically refunding on cancellation.
You Book
You confirm your seat and pay via MoMo, card, or QuickLyft credit.
Held in Escrow
Your payment is locked in a secure escrow vault — the driver cannot access it.
You Arrive
GPS confirms your drop-off location matches your booking. Trip marked complete.
Driver Paid
88% of the fare released to the driver. QuickLyft keeps 12%. No hidden fees.
Full refund guarantee: If your driver cancels or takes an unauthorized route, your escrow payment is returned within 24 hours — no questions asked. Driver cancellations within 30 minutes of departure attract a penalty fee paid to you.
Share Your Ride.
Share Your Safety.
Live Route Tracking
Every trip is tracked in real time. If your driver deviates from the booked route by more than 500m, our system flags it immediately and alerts your emergency contact.
Share Trip With Contacts
Send a live tracking link to family or colleagues with one tap. They see your driver's name, plate number, and exact location without needing the app.
Arrival Confirmation
GPS confirms your drop-off location matches your booking. Payment only releases when the destination is reached — no half-trips.
Trip History Stored
Every trip — route, driver, timestamps — is logged for 12 months. You can review or export your history at any time.
One Tap.
SOS Alert.
We Respond.
In any situation where you feel unsafe, the SOS button sends your live location, driver details, and a pre-written emergency message to your chosen contacts immediately, and logs the alert with QuickLyft Safety for triage and follow-up.
Press SOS In App
One tap. No typing needed. Works even in silent mode.
Instant Alerts Sent
Your live GPS location + driver plate number sent to up to 3 emergency contacts by SMS — no app required on their end.
QuickLyft Responds
Our safety team will call you within 90 seconds during operating hours (5:00 AM - 10:00 PM). Driver account flagged immediately. Incident logged with DVLA reference.
Full Refund Issued
Any trip involving an SOS alert triggers an automatic full refund of the fare, processed within 2 hours.
A Seat For Women,
Driven By Women,
Guaranteed.
QuickLyft's Women-Only mode matches female riders exclusively with verified female drivers on the same route. You choose. We make it happen — not as an afterthought, but as a first-class booking option.
The Things You
Ask After Reading.
The four questions readers most often ask once they've been through the sections above — the workflow details, the edge cases, and the question of who actually holds us accountable. Need more? Browse all 7 safety questions in the help centre →
Initial review aims to complete within 24 hours on business days, with serious incidents prioritised. If substantiated, the driver is permanently banned, DVLA is notified, and the case is referred to police where applicable. You receive a written update on the outcome within 5 business days. Reports are confidential — your identity is not shared with the driver.
For Women-Only bookings, trip sharing is automatically enabled and sent to your first emergency contact at the start of every trip. You can configure up to three permanent emergency contacts so this happens with one tap, not three.
SOS is not for billing disputes, a late driver, minor route confusion, or service complaints — those go through in-app Report Issue and refund flows, which are handled within hours rather than seconds. The 2-second press-and-hold is deliberate so SOS is hard to trigger by accident, but easy to use under stress.
You will never be charged or penalised for a genuine SOS — even if it turns out to be a false alarm.
• Driver identity is verified against the National Identification Authority (NIA) Ghana Card register.
• Driving licences are cross-referenced against DVLA records.
• Roadworthy certificates are checked against DVLA inspection records.
• Substantiated safety incidents involving criminal conduct are referred to the Ghana Police Service.
We are not a substitute for state oversight — we are a private platform that pre-screens, monitors, and reports into those existing systems so accountability runs end-to-end, not just inside our app.
